Yesterday, Brian came home at lunch to work the rest of the afternoon from home. He heard someone yelling (very faintly) "Help! Help me!" and went to investigate in our neighborhood and found a poor old man had fallen and broken his hip/leg. So, he called 911 and the firemen and paramedics came to the rescue. The old man begged him to take his groceries (he was just returning from a trip to Lucky's) since he'd be in the hospital for a while. So, Brian brought his groceries to our house and we put them away, hoping to save them for the old man, even though he told us to keep them......and now I'm staring at chocolate chip cookies, peanut M&Ms, pistachios, Tostitos nacho cheese dip. Brian was the Good Samaritan by helping the old man, but I'm afraid I'm going to reverse his good deed by eating the cookies!
