The polls are closed, folks.

Happy Halloween!!!
Well, the "polls are closed" and we only got 5 trick or treaters - what a crock. 3 of which were jr high age boys without COSTUMES and they kept sticking their greedy little sausage fingers into my Halloween candy bowl to take handfuls of candy. Bastards.

My pumpkin (left) was carved in approximately 3 minutes using a chef's knife - can you tell? Brian, on the other hand, looked up a fancy design on the internet, sketched it on his
pumpkin and then used appropriate carving tools. Shocking that his jack-o-lantern is better than mine, right?

I thought lining our walkway with paper lanterns would help bring the trick or treaters to our door - that was not a successful tactic.

My jack-o-lantern - isn't she a beaut?!

The Before Pics

Last night, we stripped the walls to get ready for the painting project. I took things down and Brian removed outlet and light switch covers and vents. Riley was afraid of the changes. Clearly, Brian was more than happy to let me photograph him.

Do It Yourself

We've decided to paint the inside of our house. Woohoo!! Bye bye, white walls. Stay tuned for before and after pictures.

These are the colors we're doing. A taupe-ish wall color, off white trim and then our "tv" and "bar" walls are green.

Amazing. So proud of Bri Bri. Now we can toss the ramen and eat steak. I kid, I kid.

Hallowoof!

On Sunday, Brian and I headed over to the pumpkin patch to buy some pumpkins to carve for Halloween...."why did you bring your dog?" you ask? I'm not going to lie, he's kinda like my son and I wanted to take his picture with the pumpkins. All was fine until the "scary" petting zoo animals spooked Riley and he caused a scene. We left shortly thereafter.

Ah, roommates....

While I was searching through photos for my last post, I came upon the photo below. I loved this picture from my theme dance (senior year, UCD, A-Phi)...loved, past tense, is the key word. I had this saved on my computer when my joker of a roommate thought it would be HILARIOUS to edit a big L on my forehead and save over the original. Thanks, Tess. Love you.

Well, looks like I jumped on the band wagon. Never thought I'd have a blog, but lately every time I do something relatively fun or exciting I think, "if I had a blog...." so that's how I got here today. Please bare with me as I figure out how this site works.

I thought this would be a good opportunity to share....
