YES! We've lived in our place 2 and a half years and FINALLY we're getting around to having fun with the neighbors. We're having a big bbq on July 12! Wooooooo! I'm making potato salad and fruit salad. Mom, can I have your potato salad recipe?
Well, well, well...Mr. Rogers must have realized I didn't take well to the dog-vomit-incident-last-night.
He washed my car today - inside and out...complete detail. Boy, did my car need it.
Thanks, Brian!
Brian was KIND ENOUGH in the wee hours of the morning to wake me up at 3am to tell me the dog was barfing. Then he proceeded to roll over and go back to sleep, but not before he said, "Not in here. Downstairs.". While I was cleaning up the dog barf, Brian was also really concerned with the style of my cleaning, wanting to make sure I mastered the art of cleaning up dog barf: "You're getting the carpet too wet!".
Brian, you are SO thoughtful - I REALLY appreciate you giving me the honor of cleaning up Riley's vomit.
We haven't been home in 6 months! Can't wait to get there!
Stefania is picking me up tonight, breakfast with Pelin tomorrow....day with mom....dinner with various friends....Brian's Grandma's 80th bday on Saturday....graduation party after that....then Father's Day!
Brian has wanted new, BIG tires for over 2 years now and he FINALLY got them on Sunday. He had a little photo shoot with his truck and here is one of the pics of the new, beefy, manly tires. Time to go off-roading while camping next month!
After breakfast, we went to Riley's new favorite hang out spot - an amazingly clean lake for him to swim in. We found some sticks and played some fetch.
He was a pooped puppy after the long walk and tons of swimming.
We went to breakfast this morning at the Delectable Egg before heading to the dog lake with Riley....he got to sit outside the patio area while we ate....he just couldn't stand to be far from us and tried to crawl under the fence the whole meal. He just loves us so much he can't stand to not be as close as possible!
I hope you have a fantastic birthday full of fun gifts and pampering (hmmm....wishful thinking after considering who you live with...). Looking forward to seeing you next week!
Three cheers for me - I have FINALLY sent in my paperwork, photos, payment to the Department of State to officially officially become Gina Rogers on my passport. It only took 13 months. Ha!
For those of you who don't know, I LOVE the movie "Twister". Today, we kinda got to experience our own real life "Twister" - minus Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton. A funnel cloud was spotted a few miles north of our house - Brian happened to bust out the ol' Nikon D80 to capture the moment (above). I was debating the crawl space vs. the downstairs bathroom for shelter...luckily we don't even know if it touched ground, let alone hit our house. We also got some crazy thunder and lightning AND hail (about half inch in diameter).
Born and raised in California, we moved to Denver, Colorado in April of 2006 for Gina's work. We bought a townhome, adopted a puppy, and got hitched, but now we're back in California living in San Francisco while we get settled and figure out where we want to live in the long run and that's where we are today...
