My Blood is Made of Gold

Bonfils Blood Center loves me; they call me three times a week begging me to donate my type A- blood. I've come to the realization that my blood must be made of gold....otherwise, why would they want it so badly?

Lay off me, Bonfils - I made an appointment to donate on April 20. That's the last you're going to get from me for at least a year....my impending Yellow Fever vaccination for the Amazon will take me off the donor list.

Opening Day

Today was opening day of softball. ServiceSource has 6 teams - our own league! We got dismissed early from work to head to the park, eat hot dogs, drink beer, play catch, etc. FUN, FUN, FUN!
Then, we had our game....."YourMomPlaysSoftball" is our team name.....here's Brian after our game in our team shirt....We won....11-5. Eat that, Team Hammered Home.

Easter Baskets 2K9

Easter is almost here...which means stores are stocked with lots of Easter stuff - baskets, candy, chocolate bunnies, peeps, egg dye, etc....

I was at Target this evening and took the photo below (of course with my new iPhone) of what they are advertising as Easter baskets. WTF.

From Wikipedia: A basket is a container which is traditionally constructed from stiff fibres, often made of willow.

None of the below pathetic excuses for baskets fit the definition of a basket. Who wants a basket shaped like Elmo? Or a baseball? What is that stupid pale with the wooden handle? The Easter Bunny does NOT fill Easter Buckets.

Target - pull it together and sell some real, traditional BASKETS. My children will NEVER have stupid "baskets" like this.

Spring Snow Weekend

This weekend we rented a HUGE house in Breckenridge with about 11 of our friends, unofficially for Brian's 27th Birthday. We had SOOOOO much fun.

Exciting NEW Toy

FINALLY! My contract with AT&T expired and I was eligible for the discounted price on the Apple iPhone. Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I love my new phone, although I do not know how to really use it yet. I have some cool apps and I love that I can search google, etc. To make things even better, since I am an AT&T contractor, I get 19% off my bill and data package!
