It's back!

Woohoo! NieNie is back! This blog, along with Katie's blog, were my inspiration.

After a tragic airplane crash, she's finally out of her coma and recovering day by day...time to blog

Cousin Visit

Woohoo! Ashton flies out to Denver tonight! Should be a fun weekend. We have quite a few things to hit on the agenda - dinner at BJ's, skiing, sledding, Wii playing, perhaps a movie....

Hell Has Frozen Over

Mark this on your calendar, folks, as the day my husband, Mr. Rogers himself, has eaten and enjoyed RAW BELL PEPPER.

We are one step closer to salad - please send your veggie thoughts our way.
And....NO, I didn't force him. He cut them up for me and then put some on his little burrito. Then got a handful and some ranch to dip them in and ate probably a whole pepper.

There is hope for carnivores all over the world.

VEGAS 2K9

WOOOOHOOOO! We're booked to head to Vegas on my birthday! Such a great deal on our flight and hotel! Me, Bri Bri, Nikki and Pat! I can't wait! We got a free upgrade to a fantastic room at Caesar's and free spa passes! I can't wait to play some Blackjack! Any good restaurant recommendations? Perhaps we'll see the Beatles "LOVE" Cirque Du Soleil show, too.....

Nikki and I, Bay to Breakers, 2005. Can't wait to see what our pics from Vegas will look like!

RECYCLE 2009

I said in 2009 I wanted to recycle and I meant it. We got our large, green bin last week and it feels good to be putting plastics, papers and metals in it rather than the normal garbage can! I can hardly fit my car in our garage because of the two huge containers, but it's worth it!

Damn, it's 2009 ALREADY?

Happy 2009 from Riley!
(That's right - he's wearing a shot glass necklace)

In 2009, I plan to....

...be healthier
...volunteer my time more
...recycle!
...spend less

Major Brownie Points

I have to give a huge shout out to my hubby!
I came home from a movie and dinner with a friend on Friday night to see my bare Christmas tree on the curb along with the garbage can. I shouted with joy (by myself, in my car) - Brian surprised me by taking the tree down! But then I also cringed with fear of the mess that had to be waiting for me inside - I imagined ornaments everywhere, strings of lights surrounding the coffee table, garland on the floor, pine needles galore....UGH!
And what to my wondering eyes did appear - Brian not only took the tree down, but he cleaned up ALL OF CHRISTMAS! Every single decoration/stocking/dish/shiny object Christmas related was down, in a box, in the closet and out of sight until next year!
And to top it off, he even vacuumed! AMAZING!
Thanks, Bri! Love you.
